Negative ions and ozone are created by nature
and found at their optimal levels where the air is most pure
and healthy. These locations typically include open meadowlands
away from the city, the ocean shore near crashing waves, mountains
and waterfalls.
Ozone and negative ions are also generated by
the sun's ultraviolet rays, as well as thunderstorms. The
electrical discharge that is created by lightening imparts
a sweet smell that we commonly refer to as fresh air.
Why negative ions and low-level ozone?
Negative ions and ozone are nature's most powerful
air-cleansing agents. There is nothing in the world more effective
in removing allergens and contaminants from the air that we
breathe.
Unfortunately, due to the relatively air-tight
construction of modern buildings, naturally occurring ions
and ozone are unable to penetrate
|
(and thereby enhance) our indoor living environments.
When natural levels of ozone and negative ions
are reproduced indoors, the result can be a refreshingly clean
environment, free of odors, stuffiness, bacteria and germs.
