A good place to start in the prevention of dust
mites is in your bedroom.
Encase all bedding, pillows, box spring,
and mattresses in anti-allergen, dust-proof covers.
Wash your bedding and blankets in hot
130 degree water weekly.
Clean your house weekly with cloths and
cleaning tools that trap dust rather than simply move it around
or release it back into the air.
Keep humidity levels below 50% by using
an air conditioner or dehumidifier.
If possible, remove carpets in the bedroom,
or vacuum frequently using a HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner.
